Computer Repair Shops Raided by National Bureau of Investigation

Pilipinas Anti – Piracy Team (PAPT) comprising National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) seized computers loaded with unauthorized copies of software during a recent inspection of computer repair stores in Gilmore, Quezon City. It has been said that seven out of ten computers with counterfeit software is infected with malware that could potentially lead to stolen online bank records, spreading of viruses to relatives, or even your PC could be vulnerable to other attacks. The technicians involved in the illegal installations were arrested by the NBI and face criminal prosecutions.
